Safer sex

Safer-sex information

Red Pages supports safer-sex practices and does not allow listings that advertise or imply the availability of sexual services without condom use or other appropriate barrier protection where relevant.

Our position

This reflects both Red Pages' platform standards and the legal requirement that commercial sexual services must not be provided without appropriate protection, as well as the importance of reducing the risk of sexually transmissible infections.

Safer-sex expectations

Providers, advertisers, and clients should take reasonable steps to support safer-sex practices. That includes clear communication, appropriate use of condoms or barriers where relevant, and not proceeding where consent, safety, or health concerns are in doubt.

Consent must be informed, ongoing, and freely given. Boundaries, expectations, and safer-sex requirements should be discussed clearly before any service proceeds.

No person should feel pressured to agree to something they do not want, do not understand, or do not feel safe doing.

Barrier protection and when not to proceed

Condoms and other appropriate barrier methods help reduce risk. Red Pages does not permit content that markets services on the basis that these protections will not be used.

  • Do not proceed if consent is unclear or changes.
  • Do not proceed if someone appears underage.
  • Do not proceed if someone appears coerced, afraid, unwell, or unable to make a clear decision.
  • Do not proceed if there is pressure to ignore agreed safer-sex boundaries.
  • Do not proceed if the situation feels unsafe.

Personal safety

Use caution when meeting strangers. Consider basic safety steps such as verifying who you are meeting, checking details in advance, maintaining communication with a trusted person where appropriate, and leaving if something does not match what was represented.

Reporting unsafe or prohibited content
